Mocha Chocolate Chip XIV, otherwise known as "Chip," is a lean 97 pounds of rippling muscle. He has a rich, thick "dark chocolate" coat and a beautiful wide face with expressive eyes. He lives for hunting ducks, geese, and upland birds. He is all to happy to wear a backpack on extended back-country hunts in the off season. Long, steep hikes and climbs are not a concern for Chip, as his energy level is boundless. Whether deep in the back-country on horseback hunts, or days on end hunting the marsh, Chip's drive and acceptional athleticism are endlessly entertaining for everyone. An asset that is hard to come by in a Labrador.

 

Chip has shown an extraordinary ability to learn and follow direction at an early age. At 7 weeks old he was already aware of his name, potty trained, and could perform the "Sit" comand. Handling and training came easy to Chip, as his understanding of teamwork came natural. He is one of the rare dogs that "got it" from the beginning.

 

His temperment has made him a true pleasure to be with. Happy, sensitive, and good natured in personality have made him popular with man and other dogs alike. He is a tremendous family dog, and hunts very well with other dogs as well.
